England beat Mexico in their second match at the Women's World Cup

England will play Mexico in the Women's World Cup 2015 football tournament on Saturday, and both teams will be looking to claim all three points after neither managed to secure wins in their competition openers. Today's game has a scheduled start time of 9 p.m. BST (4 p.m. ET) and can be watched on TV on the Fox network, or watched online through live stream via the link below.

England know that three points today are essential if they are to progress to the knock out stages. They were not able to come away with anything in their opener against France, losing 0-1. That means the pressure is on to get a result today, and they cannot afford to lose against Mexico.

Mark Sampson, England boss, has said that the three points is by far the greater priority today than playing entertaining football: "If the players win the World Cup, that would be the biggest boost the women's game could ever get. If we can do that playing in an entertaining way, fantastic."

He added, "We can't afford to lose this game. I'm not sure it's a must-win game, but it's definitely a must-not-lose game. We're really confident that if we bring our maximum, foot-to-the-floor football, fifth-gear football, this England team and this England performance will be good enough to get us on the board and put us in a good place in the group."

England tried to lock down one of the tournament favourites, France, in the opening game, but lost out via a moment of magic from the French

They will certainly look to play a more expansive game today though against a team 19 places below them in the rankings (England are ranked 6th in the world, compared to Mexico's 25th ranking).

In the 2011 World Cup England could only manage a 1-1 draw with Mexico when they met in their opening game in Germany. Another draw here wouldn't be a complete disaster but they will know three points would alleviate a lot of pressure for their final group game against Colombia next week.

England midfielder Fara Williams has said, "You don't panic after one game. We've looked at teams in the past who've lost their first game and gone on to win competitions.

"Manchester City won the [Women's Super League] Continental Cup last year after losing the first game, Spain's men's team won the 2010 World Cup after losing against Switzerland. Mexico are a good team but they're certainly not as good as France - we'll definitely be hoping to attack a lot more and you'll see a different side to an England team going into the game on Saturday."
