Ohio State football releases kickoff times for games against Hawaii, Northern Illinois

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State announced on Friday the kickoff times for its first two home football games against Hawaii and Northern Illinois.
The Buckeyes will host Hawaii at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 on the Big Ten Network, five days after Ohio State opens its season at Virginia Tech. Ohio State will host Northern Illinois at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 on ABC.
Hawaii finished 4-9 last year, and will travel to Columbus for the first-ever meeting between the teams.
The game against Northern Illinois will be a rare chance for the Buckeyes to take on one of the Mid-American Conference's top teams.Typically, Ohio State schedules one of the lower-tier teams in the MAC, but Northern Illinois is coming off an 11-3 season and its third MAC Championship in four years. The Buckeyes will also play a Western Michigan team that went 8-5 last year the following week.
The Buckeyes are 3-0 against the MAC under Urban Meyer, winning by a combined 162-30 score. Ohio State beat Kent State 66-0 last year.
With the kickoff times announced for Hawaii and Northern Illinois, game times for six of Ohio State's 2015 games have been announced. The Buckeyes will have four primetime games in 2015.
